Bob,
I can appreciate what happened. I've had people
stand in chutes and refuse to let me through,
tell me that jet motors are illegal, threaten to
flatten my tires, try to grab my boat and start a
fight, and give me the one fingered salute so many
times, I changed my name to Hooker.
As jet boats proliferate, I just don't want to get
into the situation were they are restricted to
only certain areas or times. Many fishermen are
politically connected , and it would not be
difficult to find a sympathetic lawmaker to add a
rider on a bill to limit jet boat access on the
Hooch.
The biggest problem for jet boaters is running
shallow areas. If you come off plane, you damage
your boat, if you don't come off plane, you make
people mad, and others you make furious because
you're disturbing thier non-catching of natives
on the virgin waters of the Hooch.

It's a lose, lose situation. I appreciate the kind
comments of Flyguy. I wish everyone was as
empathetic.

Courteous Hooker
