Not only is the water temp. high on the Chattooga
but the level is very low. I was up there the
weekend before last and the fishing for wild fish
was very slow. The water temp. was 72 degrees and
very low and clear. I'm sure there metabolism was
somewhat slowed down. Look for well oxygenated riffle
areas and head of pools and cooler tributary feeder
points. But until it rains I wouldn't expect the
fish to be very active.
