Island Ford was pretty happening yesterday afternoon and evening. Flyguy will be pleased to know the olive bead-head woolies were killin' 'em. Several fish were taking tiny blue winged olives -- so I had some fun with dries for a couple hours. Then switched to #14 and 16 elk hair caddis and started skating for success.

A friend of mine showed up without his rod--he left it outside his car and lost it last time he fished at Island Ford. He was just going to hang out and talk while I fished. Well, I'd have none of that, so I gave him my flyrod and rigged up my spinning gear (started carrying it on my tube). He took some on black woolies and GRHE and I was getting slammed, using rooster tails and rainbow pattern spinners.

I fished from 3:30 to around 9--life is good and so was the fishing.

Rod
Fixed for a season
Willing to go again tomorrow
