Well, there's no way of putting an actual date on it for obvious reasons. But I was told it was turn-of-the-century or before by a knowledgable collector. The cane is pale, not like Tonkin cane at all, it's got ring guides, a loop-type tiptop, it's tied every few inches (because it was glued with hide glue) and it's OLD.

I started taking the finish off the butt section. The finish is crazed. I was intending to refinish it myself, but I didn't. No extra tip, but has one of those wooden rod keepers.

I'm not interested in doing anything with it, and would like to see it with someone who is. It's very fishable.
