You won't be that far from either the Swallow Creek
WMA (located off Hwy. 17/75) or the Blue Ridge WMA
(off Hwy. 60). Both of these areas have some good
wild trout water. On Swallow Creek, try High Shoals
Creek. I (and Hound it sounds like) have had good
luck with brookies there. You will be closest to the
Noontootla on the Blue Ridge, but Montgomery, West Fork
of Montgomery, and Jones Creek would all be good wild
trout waters there as well. All of these streams will
require a little drive from Vogel. Sorry, but I'm not
that familiar with the area directly around the park.
