I believe most of the Toccoa is on private property, but there are several good camping spots on the Chattoga. Are you going to car camp? Or backpack?. If car camping, then you can go to Sandy Ford. There are 2 good spots but you have to get there Friday night or early Saturday morning to get them. You can drive right down to the river. If backpacking you can hike about 2 hours from the bridge at 76 going up stream on the Chattoga River trail. The trail comes back to the river and there are several good spots on the water. (I was there last weekend and only saw 1 other group of campers). Also you can hike on the same trail from Sandy Ford rd. down stream about 2 hours and come to another good camping spot on the river. e-mail me if need detailed directions.
