Hey G Man and Buh Buh Ray!
I am enjoying seeing all these comments, we had a very similar discussion/argument
about packin' heat last year. I started things out because i ran across some unsavory folks who were "snagging" fish in a C & R area.
They were really unhappy that some portly flyfisherman was seeing them break the law, and two of them followed me down the trail for almost a mile until I got to my truck and let them see me talking on my cell phone.
I initially bought a S&W .40 police carry gun(DAO) but it was heavy as crap and I did not like the DA trigger pull, so I now have a Taurus 92FS in 9mm.
I have 16 rds of cor-bon in a shoulder holster under my vest when I fish now( i have a concealed weapons permit from my state)
and I feel a lot better in the woods.
My wife has a 5 shot .38 S&W revolver as her self defense weapon.

I can handle a snake or a human problem easily now.

thanks for your input

and God Bless Mr T for keeping the flame
