Rock and roll Guy,
The caliber of Trout doesn't quite stack up to those your probably used to catching out west. Most of the trout in Georgia are a tad smaller than their counterparts out west. Like Gman said, one sure way to catch a gauranteed monster is by fishing Brigadoon on the Soquee. If your seeking more adventure I would reccomend any of the smaller streams of North Georgia. The trout found here are small but they are hearty fighters. The occasional large wild fish will pop up too. Depending on your taste of fishing there are several options here in GA. I and several others on this board can reccomend several good locations. Just drop us an E-mail. If you have any questions feel free to E-mail me.
