For the most part, brook trout aren't stocked in
Georgia, so there really aren't any holdovers. I
would think that the best place for a brookie of
that size in Georgia would be at one of the "trophy
regulations" streams, like Duke's or Water's Creeks.
This fall you could try the Nantahala in North Carolina.
It has a delayed harvest section that is stocked with
some good sized brook trout. Some brood fish are
even stocked. I know a guy who caught a brookie about
the size you're looking for up there.
Just remember, any wild brookie is a trophy fish.
