What an evening. 6 Browns in two hours. I was fishing down stream from the shoals. One about twelve inches the others 8 - 12. They were taken on caddis. Olive colored Adams. Grifith's gnat. Rust spinner, and a black spinner. It seemed like I couldn't go wrong. Several fish came up but wouldn't take the fly onseveral occasions as well.
Are these generally the patterns that are working, or is it just that I was extremely lucky? From what I have heard, several people nymph fish around there. I am fairly new to this fly fishing endeavor so any pointers would be appreciated.
-Hooked.
