The 2 lines that I choose for trout fishing are Cortland's LazerLine, and SA's Mastery Series. These are considered to be at the top of the list as far as line's go (there are some exceptions but you won't find them at your local tackle shops).

If you like a "supple" feel, you probably can't beat the Mastery series. I can cast it just as far as the Lazerline, but the feel is very different. It's more presentation sensitive, and doesn't kink in real cold water.

The Laserline has a harder finish, and most think that it shoots farther. Could be true, but I rarely get too concerned with distance when I'm trout fishing. If I have to cast more than 75' I'm doing something wrong either way. I do like it in a double taper. The hard finish rolls a nice loop.

I've spent a bunch of money figuring out the right line for cold water striper fishing, if anyone needs info, drop me an e-mail.
