Rod -
OK. Actually I fish too much to post regular
reports here (but they're all on my website).

But here's one - and maybe food for thought. Fished
the Flint River Sunday morning, as I've done often
for 15 years. Becoming old & set in my ways I almost
always fish a big, bushy dry fly with a weighted
black wooly worm dropper. Lately, however I've been
fishing a lot at Callaway Gardens and having good
success with a sparkle chenille bead-head wooly-bugger
and, since this was already tied on my line (my rigged
rod stays in my van), I decided to fish it awhile.

Definitely a lesson for me - caught fish in spots I'd
never found em in before, took em from the spots I
usually get em from with other rig, too. Did miss the
dry fly action, but the bead head got deeper and
found fish I normally don't.

So, just because a system works good doesn't mean there's
not another good one, too. I'll try not to get so
set in my ways.
