That great day I had the other day may be a sign of things to come for the next couple of months.
My partner opened the fish he kept and found eggs in the females and nearly mature (male parts) in the males. These were fairly recent stockers but had the beginnings of spawning color and were striking anything on the move.
I'm curious of your take on this.
1. Will the fish at the hatchery spawn sooner than the fish in the warmer river water/climate below the damn?
2. Will these fish trigger an early spawn by other browns already in the river for a while?
3. Is this an anomoly?
4. Will this adversely affect the already poor reproduction on the 'hooch? Thinking back on this time last year, I remember the fish hitting like this--but I thought it was just the terrestrial imitations I was using--now I think it might be a combination of factors or something altogether different and exciting.
I'm excited r u?
