I use an inexpensive 12-volt pump that hooks up to my cigarette lighter for the initial fill. These little pumps will handle up to 150 pounds of pressure and fill slowly so there's no danger of over inflation. I also keep a small bicycle handpump in one of my tube pockets in case I manage to get a small leak. So far, Ive been lucky and haven't had to use it. Bicycle pump also will work well if I pack in and have to inflate away from the car. Be careful of the CO2 pumps because you can easily over inflate and possibly blow out your tube or bladder.
