I went down there Labor Day and put the driftboat in at Sprewell Bluff and floated down to Hwy 36(Flint River Outdoor Center). The water is real low and clear.

I caught several "red-eye green trout" in the shoal below the bluff. The area around the park gets a good bit of pressure, but if you float around the bend, you'll be by yourself. Hopper pattern and wooley booger were most productive.

The Outdoor Center will rent you a canoe or raft and offer a shuttle. The fishing seemed to be better in the morning when the river was still in shadows. Good luck and email me if you have any more questions.
