I saw that when it first aired on GPTV. I wish I would
have got to see it again, though. That was a great
bit of film, it's just bad that that portion of the river
south of Atlanta is so polluted. I was at West Point Lake
at the end of July and rode down to the dam during the
afternoon thundershowers. I was amazed at the incredible
stench of the river leaving the lake.
Atlanta's not the only polluter of waterways, and I
wish that the EPA would help the cities find solutions
to their sewage problems instead of just fining the
offending municipalities. Sure, fines are good, but some
of these cities get caught on an almost monthly basis, it
just seems like they don't really care about the quality
of the water.
I think we should make Atlanta's political forces that be
take a dip in the river at it's most repulsive stretch, or
better yet, live next to that stinking river of death. I
guarantee they would do something about it then.
