I have never tried night fishing for trout, but would like to. Just to get the chance at catching a big brown that might not feed in to daytime too much would be a blast. GA only allows night fishing on year-round streams except for the Chattahoochee and some lake impoundments. From Buford dam to the westernly most crossing of 285 you can only fish from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. I think all of the other year-round streams can be fished at night. I read a couple of years ago about a guy named Stan Crigger who caught an 18# brown trout in February on the Chattahoochee near Six Flags with a rapala while fishing at night. He missed the state record by 2 oz.
