The problem is, that the Hootch doesnt flow thru a limestone
based stream bed or area as does the White, Little Red, and Norfork
out there in arkansas. The limestone streambed and formations etc.. lead
up to the fact the 3 rivers named above are all essentially HUGE spring creeks.
It is the same in PA with all of the spring creeks. Filled with Cressweed and hence
filled with scuds, fresh water shrimp and the such.

If the limestone was present then we would have a bigger and better supply of scuds in
the Hootch. I have done well though on sowbug imitations on the Hootch that I originally
purchased and tied for the rivers in Arkansas.
