Try the Noontootla on the Blue Ridge WMA or the Conasauga River in the Cohutta Wilderness Area. Both are open to fishing year round, but carry special regulations. If you invest in a North Carolina permit, you'll have access to their Delayed Harvest waters and the streams in the Smokey Mountains National Park. The fishing doesn't end after autumn either. Pull out the neoprenes and polish up your nymphing technique. Winter fishing is great and uncrowded. Erik
