: : Planning trip to Cohuttas next week - 5 day backpack. Any recent experience or recommendations. Thanks - will post report.

:
: I am assuming you have The Cohutta Wilderness map by the U.S.D.A.Forest Service.I would go in
: at the 1st trail north of Chicken Coop Gap off of FS17 and hike down to Conasauga R.and trail
: (see map!).Fish up as far as you can.You will catch more redeyes than trout on lower stretch,
: but as you approach the Paint Bank Gap area(though not on the map there is a trail from PBGap
: down to the river)you will begin catching more trout and some nice ones at that. What to use --
: Elk Hair Caddis (light colored,16 or smaller),16-20 BWO,16 -20 black ant,8-10 Muddler fish it
: dry(heck of terrestial imitater)and GRHE nymph in 14-18 size.If spinning use Panther Martin as
: small as you can handle and Gold!!blade. As a flyfisherman I hate to admit this, when exploring
: and in doubt use crickets!not worms or corn.
:
:

What in the world is a Panther Martin? I am not familier with this spinner.
