I've done real well on the Noontootla in Oct.Not
fished since it went year around.Your fly select-
ion looks about right I'd add a 16 Irresistable
or some other attractor dry that floats well.
As for winter fishing -- It's great,no crowds
and the trout are willing.The Chattooga is
excellent from the bridge at GA/SC28 on up
and so is the Hooch from US41 in Atlanta to
Morgan Falls dam.Don't know about further up.
The coldest I've fished was 1/1/61 on Chattooga
it started out with temps.at 11 degrees.I remember
I fell in and got water in my waders--I took
them off and put my gloves on my feet and went
on fishing .GRW.
