Take your Bass flies and fish the Potomac. It sounds yucky, but the fishings really picked up in the last few years. Front Royal has the nearest Trout Stream that I'm aware of in Virginia. Cannot remember the name of the creek, but it's in Fort Valley. Once a year I get on a native Trout Stream in SW VA near Blackburg. Little Stoney Brook. Years ago there used to be some fine fish there, but I have not seen them for some time. But if you fish it, you'll go back year after year as it the most beautiful stream in VA. I know, I've been camping there over 25 years.
