: to river hike up past Pather Ck.trail about 3/4-1mile
: before you fish.Use 18 or smaller b.w.o.,dorato,or
I should add the reason I suggested to fish above
Panther is less traffic and cooler water.Another option
is to go in at Paint Gap trail and fish up and down.Because of warmer
water you will catch more redeyes but trout are often
larger. If you fish Jacks,be sure to try log on right
just below B.C.Ck.: elk hair caddis. The Jacks is my all time in aug&sept
: Go in at Bear Camp Ck. trail.Add Grasshopper to list

: : I've fished the Conasauga a few times in late summer when the water is low and crystal clear. With these conditions, you'll probably see plenty of fish but they'll be really spooky which requires sneaking up on them and making good presentations. I've had some luck with black ants at this time of year. With my eyesight, I can't see the ant on the water and usually fish it as a dropper off a more-visible dry fly like an elk hair caddis. You should expect a lot of back packers and day hikers in the area but there plenty of river so you should find a stretch to have to yourself even if there are a few other fishermen. Good luck!
