: Last weekend I stopped by the Nootootla and noticed over
: half a dozen casualties - they appeared to have no external
: wounds. I also talked to several anglers on the stream
: who had noticed some dead fish as well. Anyone heard
: anything?

I found two on Dick's Cr. the third week of July. One was a
brown which could have been stocked recently. All others I
caught were very healthy though. The other fish was a rainbow
of about 8 inches. It was recently dead as the colors were still
vibrant; it was stiff though. It had perfect fins and looked to
be a 'wild' fish. Both of these fish had their gills spread wide.

I found a long dead fish on Water's the next week. Gills were
closed but it was hard to tell any other cause. I hav seen fish
there with holes in their backs. Likely from a heron.

Water is low, but temperatures seem cool enough. No ideas.
