On the upper Hootch, I personally prefer Wolly Bugger with about 1 split shot 10 inches above it. I would also try some attractor patterns such as wulffs and humpy's. You may be able to catch the rusty brown spinner fall that has been somewhat sporadic these last 2 weeks,(imitate with a size 20 rusty brown spinner), also caddis emergers(size 16/18) have been working well also.
