I fish Mountaintown Creek when I can. The only section I've fished is above Hills lake. This year I've caught two 13" rainbows there. That's not too bad for Mountaintown and pretty good for me anywhere. I don't catch many GA trout over 12". My best luck has been with nymphs (hare's ear) in the deeper pools and fast runs. I have caught a few this year on Royal Wulffs #14 and some on elk hair caddis. As for casting, it's about as open in most places as a GA mountain stream gets. You will not be limited to roll casts and flips. Hope this is of some help.
