: Is there a politically correct thing to do when
: you catch redeye bass on the Jacks River? The
: water gets warm this time of the year in the Cohuttas and
: the trout hunker down, but those redeye bass (Coosa bass?)
: strike anything floppiing in the water. I have always
: released these bass (and occasional brim) back into the
: Jacks to compete with the trout. Are these fish worth
ege the chances for many trout?

They are native to lower elevation streams of S.Appl.They fill the same
niche that Brook trout did in higher elevation streams.
Redeyes are the warm water flyfisher's trout. This time of year get
higher up.On Jacks go up to gorge(bear ck.trail area).
On Conasulga at least above Panther Ck.Hope this helps.
