Honest flyfishers you will catch more trout on hooks with their barbs
removed-either in vise while tying them or on stream with hemostats.
I simply lead the fish to me reach down grab fly and back it out--fish
never leaves the water--no fuss,no bother.Does it work-this past Feb.I
caught 17 bows'(from16 to 20 inches)on size 20 midges from a pond 30 miles
south of Columbus!!!Ga.In April I got a 20''bow on a de barbed wooley
bugger(yellow herl back weighted)from Coopers Ck!Good Luck with those
De-barbed hooks.
