: : Can someone give me directions to get to Burrel's Ford from Northeast Atlanta. Also, how has the chatooga been fishing?
: From NE Atlanta take 85 north to 985 and
: follow 985 to Clayton. Then take Warwoman Road east out of Clayton. This roa on the left. This leads to Burrel's Ford.
: It's about 7 miles of dirt road.
: An alternative to FS646 is to continue past it
: and cross the river into South Carolina. Take
: a left at the inter section with highway 107
: and follow it until you see the sigh for Burrel's Ford the left. It's a longer drive this way but better roads.
: We fished there last weekend and caught
: several wild browns including a 14 incher and a stocker rainbow. I like to fish this river with a muddler minnow this time of year.
: Good luck!
I was wonderinf if someone can tell me a little about the Chatooga River. I'm going whitewater rafting this weekend and this is the river my friend booked us on. Is it a good river for rafting? I've never heard of this river especially connected to whitewater rafting
