How would a 15' flats skiff w/a 50hp do down there?
I'm very familiar with Striper fishing, and have been
promising myself for the past 3 years that I was going to
give it a try.
4 years ago, a couple of friends of mine, and myself
started the North Georgia Striper Club. I had to drop out
last year due to the arrival of my first child. Anyhow,
I knew it was going to get hot down there one day, after
deciding to stock stripers in W.P. I grew up in MD, and used
to fish for Stripers 35-40 miles up a tributary of the
Chesapeake Bay. If it wasn't for a dam, they definately would
have kept on going. (Note: Stripers have been tagged in the
Outerbanks area of N.C. and retrieved in C.peake Bay. Many are
estimated to have traveled as much as 60 miles per day!)
The fish in Lanier never go up the rivers though ;-)
