Mr. Smith. Gotta ask, is Hunting Creek in Thrumont Totally dry yet?
But my suggestion to you would be to hit the tailwaters in Maryland. Go fight the crowd on the Gunpowder
or (my personal suggestion) Go to Garret Cty and hit the Savage River,
North Branch of the Potomac(below the dam), and check some of the headwaters of Middle Creek in Frederick Cty, Friends and Fishing Creeks
in Frederick Cty. And even Beaver Creek in WA cty, just becasue it is spring fed.
Another suggestion is heading up into PA and fish their spring creeks. THey stay cold all year(i.e. The Breeches,
Wills, Boiling Springs, Letort, etc.)
As far as techniques...early morning, late evening, and def night fishing(well 10pm in MD if I remember correctly.
But drop to 7-8x on the dries, and if nymph fishing, and you can see them, I would float the fly
right onto their nose.
PS> I miss not being able to fish the savage cept when i go home for vacation
