With the weather like it is, "wading wet" should be a pleasant way to beat the heat. In addition to the flies recommended in the previous response by jeffg, you might want to try a black fur ant pattern. I caught my best fish of the day on Dukes Creek about this time last year on an ant. I think the fish see a lot of ants and relish them. It's a lot more fun to have a nice fish come up and smack a dry fly rather than a nymph. I can't see the ant, so I fish it as a dropper behind an elk hair caddis with light wings. It shows up in Duke's shadows and floats good, plus some fish hit it too. Tight lines.
