Well Jim,
I think that corn is the preferred bait for
freshly stocked trout because it looks like the
pellets they were fed in the hatchery.
Hatcheries don't feed trout corn. A trouts
digestive system is designed for protein
consumption. Trout pellets are digestible protein.
Corn is cellulose and almost impossible for a trout
to digest.

That's all I know, except Stokley's Nibblet Style
corn stays on the hook better than Green Giant.
