: : I will be buying a float tube this month. There are a few different types of tubes and I want to buy the best tube for my money ( up to $150.00 ). What do you recomend? Is the U-Boat shape better then a round tube? If you use a tube and have some feed back on the different types please send me a e-mail at prjohnson@pipeline.com

: : Thanks,

: On the float tubes, I purchased a basic good brand for about $75, and it seems fine. Yeah, it's awkward, but one disadvantage of the U type is there is nowhere to rest your arms up front. That bothers some. I found that I spent less and enjoyed a basic 16 inch tube. One thing, I tend to float way too far downstream, that is my nature. The smaller basic tube is lighter and more compact to carry back on the back. Good luck. Frank
