I live just off Old Atlanta, ~6 minutes from door to Settles Bridge. That piece of
property that is accross from the bridge, (on the west side of the hootch) is owned by
a group of guys that purchased the lot, then subdivided it umongst themselves. They
also purchased that portion along the river that lies between the river and the road,
almost back to Old Atlanta Club. I met one of them, when I was fishing (he was fishing
as well, and seemed to be a pretty decent guy.) The main concern, is the saps that litter
the heck out of the place. Can't say I blame them for wanting to take some action.
He said that the first time they cleaned the garbage up on the river lot, I cost in the
thousands of dollars. My guess is that stretch won't be accessible in the near future.
