: Hey Kent, where in my message did you interpret me stating that worms and corn don't catch fish?
: My point was that the public portion of the Soque gets heavily fished so don't expect a fishing bonanza.
Just want to disagree about the bonanza part. In october of 96, two friends and I caught and released at least 25 10-12" browns and bows and we saw a guy with about a 4 pound bow.
In october of 97, when we arrived at the stream there was a guy putting a 27" 8 pound rainbow in his cooler, he also had a 22" bow. In the course of the next 2 days I saw 2 more 8 pounders caught, I caught a 23" 5 pounder and a 16"bow. I can"t count how many 6 plus pound fish I saw swimming in the river. Including a brown that had to be at least 10 pounds and a rainbow close to that which broke a guy off. I don"t know how to explain it, because those fish weren't there in 96.
P.S. Night crawlers rule here.
