If its $ you are after get some grey jungle fowl. The are prized for their necks(jungle cock eyes) and very expensive. I have seen them advertised in the Georgia market bulletin but not often. There is also ared jungle fowl and a saipan jungle fowl. The grey is what you want. The main drawback to them i ve heard is that they make an awful screaming noise! you moght try an ad inthe market bulletin if intersted. There are also various genetic breeds of rooster raised for hackles I.E. Metz, Hoffman etc The aint about to give you any breeding stock good luck: Several years ago I was Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia, S. America. One of my fellow volunteers was a Yankee, into flyfishing and tying flies. He claimed that there was a certain type of rooster that was prized for it's neck feathers. Ever since then I've dreamed of raising these birds and selling their necks to gullible Yankees. Does anyone know what breed of chicken this might be, and where I can find them? I do have some beautiful Banty chickens, and rooster. The next time the neighbor's dog kills one I'll send the neck feathers to anyone that can answer my question. Ciao, Kent
