From NE Atlanta take 85 north to 985 and
follow 985 to Clayton. Then take Warwoman Road east out of Clayton. This road will take you
to the Chatooga.
About a quarter mile before the Chatooga is
FS646 on the left. This leads to Burrel's Ford.
It's about 7 miles of dirt road.
An alternative to FS646 is to continue past it
and cross the river into South Carolina. Take
a left at the inter section with highway 107
and follow it until you see the sigh for Burrel's Ford the left. It's a longer drive this way but better roads.
We fished there last weekend and caught
several wild browns including a 14 incher and a stocker rainbow. I like to fish this river with a muddler minnow this time of year.
