Takes a good3-4 hours (while fishing) to make it to Curtis switch. Be aware your canoe will get beat up pretty good as there are allot of rocks especially when no discharge @ dam and that the best time to fish. Good luck

: I've fished the Toccoa River below Blue Ridge Dam, wading at some of the access points but this warm weather is giving me the urge to drag the canoe out and float fish this section. Anybody know how long it takes to float from the put-in below the dam to the Corps' take-out at Curtis Switch? Anyhbody had any luck fishing this section of tail water?
