We take a trip out to Montana and Wyoming every year. We typically go mid to late summer or early fall. Although I do not fish inside 'the park' that often, I have always had success with the old reliables : Hoppers and Royal Wulfs. However, there are several flyfishing pages that offer Stream/River reviews for that area. You may want to surf by The Virtual Flyshop @ http://www.flyshop.com/ and check-out the reviews before you go. Also try key word 'other flyfishing links' in a search engine. If you are going to be in the West Yellowstone area stop by Bud Lilly's shop, they can help. Good luck.

: A friend and I are making a pilgrimage to Yellowstone
: national Park. We are going to be camping and
: backpacking and of course fly fishing the Slough Creek
: and the Lamar Canyon area.
: If anybody has been there or knows of any sources to
: find information on the common flies that are used
: in that area please let me know.
: thank-you.
