: I have one day to take my brother trout fishing in late May. Any suggestions? He lives in Marietta, and we have to do all the travelling and fishing in a single day. Any recommendations for the Chattahooche? Is a guide necessary?...helpful?...available? Any help is appreciated.

There are a number of goods sites in and around the Peachtree Corners/Norcoss area. Do you have access to a boat or will you be wading?

For wading I would recommend the Jones Bridge Park on the West Side of the river. This allows you good access to a variety of fishing conditions. There is also a boat launch that allows access to some nice fishing downstream from the park.

For Boating either the Jones Bridge or Medlock Bridge Parks are good locations to launch from. Jones Bridge allows you access to some nice shoals below the launch site if you want to fish downstream then wade some.

I fish almost exclusively the shoals below Jones Bridge. I wet wade and have enjoyed many hours of fishing these waters. My best is a 18" bow and a 20" brown.
