I am 63 I guess most of you would refer to me as an ole F**T.I have
some great memories that you might enjoy.1.In 1960 I spent a couple
of wonderful hours(and had a great meal)visiting with a family that
lived in a log cabin on the banks of the Chatooga above the SC/Ga 28
bridge(cabin now gone replaced by parking lot)The father of this
family was famous for making the best moonshine in all of Oconee co.
SC.2.The largest rainbow I ever saw caught was just below Burrell's
ford on the Chatooga.I heard this little bell tingle and this ole
coot came runnin from the woods pulling his pants up(nature calling)
and snatched his rod out of a forked stick and yanked a 61/2 Bow out
of the water---his bait?-cut bait.3.The largest Black bear I ever saw
including zoos ran out of Boggs Ck.and crossed US19 not more that 10
yards from me.4.the biggest pig I ever saw, ran behind me with her spotted
and striped piglets(European wild boar also referred to as a Roos
sian by the locals.Where 0n the trail beside the Conasauga R.above
Bray field in the Cohuttas.Hey,trout fishing is great in N GA especially
if you take time to smell the roses.
