Don't take this to mean that you can wade to the centerline of streams that are bordered by forest service roads and are otherwise posted. Property owners did not grant right-of-way for a number of these roads and, therefore, own to the center of the road. The best rule: If it's posted, stay off unless you get permission.

BTW, also applies to some of the state highways in North GA.
