: : Can anyone help with parking and access to the
: : Hooch at the GA Hwy 20 bridge? Is there wadable
: : water downstream from the bridge?

: : If you go turn @ the trout ponds and go about 1/2
: : mile there is a feeder stream that runs under the road.
: : Is it possible to access the river from there on public
: : property?

: : Sure would like to stay legal. Any information would

: I tried to follow that same stream looking for access too. I walked for 20 minutes on a well worn path and never got to the river, as much as that path has been used, its got to go to river. No reason to think its on private property. Let me know if you ever make the trek, I work 15 minutes from there and would to try different spot on the hootch besides Island Ford.

I just fished the river by that feeder stream this weekend (between the raindrops). It's quite a walk to the river, but just stick to the path. Once there, there is very good shore access with some wadeable water (lot's of deep water). I was fairly successful for the short time there, but all I caught were regulation 12" stockers. Give it a try.
