: Any suggestions or recommendations on an AFFORDABLE pair of warm weather waders ?, I have found that the Summer time weather in No. Ga and SE NC mountains is warm/hot enough to make my 3mm neoprenes uncomfortable and 'clamy' after a full day on trout waters. Thanks in advance.
Ginger,
Orvis sells a pair of breathable, non-neoprene
waders especially for hot weather. The only glitch
being that I personally don't care for the open
top type waders- even though you can snug them up
with a wader belt. Personally, I use a pair of 2mm
neoprenes in summer and merely roll them down to
my waist. My preference for neo- is that if you
take a "dive" very little water will get in and
by their very nature neos give bouyancy if you
decide to take a "swim". Check out the orvis
though- I've heard good reports about them!--Doc
