Hooker> High and muddy water can be fun fishing actually...With conditions like this I break out the 8'6" 6wt. Sage and start "high sticking"
with a big ugly flies(size 8 buggers, MT nymphs, bitch creeks etc.)
Just find some of the seems formed off to the sides of the runs where there is still enough
current for the fish to hold and have its dinner brought to it.
THen just keep your cast short 20-25 ft preferably less. and just watch for the big one
that will take the fly on the swing back up.
>High sticking is perfect for these types of conditions and in my
experiences, the biggest trout of the year(especially a brown)
will be caught in these conditions.......

Also, with all the rain and the hootch looking chocolate, hit the Mts, the streams
there have been running extremely clear and actually a little low.
