Noland Creek flows into Fontana Lake on the north side and unlike the other creeks that require a lake crossing, it has road access out of Bryson City. I fished Noland a couple of weeks ago and caught a number of small rainbows. There are supposed to be some good browns but I didn't connect. Still had a great outing fishing for the native (or stream bread) 'bows that were most cooperative about taking my #16 grey elk hair caddis. Although its in the Smoky Mtn. National Park, Noland Creek is a little off the beaten path and I didn't see but three or four other fishermen. It has good trail access for miles up stream. Good luck on your trip!
