A fellow fly fisher and I took our women folk to the foot hills of North Georgia.
We were expecting a marginal day of fishing and terrific hiking and scenic vistas.
The latter two were taken in as expected, while the fishing was less than marginal as we caught only chubs.
I have sense learned that we fished the wrong area (we only fished SW of the hwy, along our 3.5 mile trek to and fro the gorgeous falls).
I plan on going again soon, since the area I understand to be stocked weekly. Does anyone have suggestions for flies and tactics on this marginal trout water,
I'm in my first season of the sport, and from what I've read about infertile streams would expect the trout to strike most anything buggy, just as the chubs down stream did.
Thanks for the imput
