rookie trout fisherman

I live in Michigan and my son lives in
Rome Ga. We have never been trout or fly fishing. Would like to go this April. Can anyone help with some advise on where in Georgia or Tennessee or South Carolina would be a good place to go for beginners. Also can you recommend any outfitters that would rent the equipment we will need and provide a guide for a day or two? We would surely appreciate any help.

See Unicoi Outfitters on this board. they are THE place to go for info and guided trips. North Ga has some great trout fishing! I'm not far from Rome and wold love to take you into "my" mtns. sometime. I usually hold my wn as a " guide" ( try the Toccoa river below the da in Blue Ridge GA or for a wild stream, try Nootoola creek) ( shhhhh)
