View Full Version : Brigadoon
I feel I am forced to tell my wife another false truth for Monday. The chance to fish at Brigadoon got the better of my judgement and thefore I felt obligated to let my judgement lapse and give in to false passions that like sex, last a short time, but keep you smiling for years!
Any of you guys/girls that have fished Brigadoon have any recommends? Weather is to be about 58 degrees and partly cloudy - I figure things should go good but just wondered what type of snack food would appeal to the watery masses?
Thanks.

Break out the "freaks on hooks" as Cocoon would say. Brigadoon fish are partial to anything that looks radioactive.
So, how did the trip go? Catch any monsters?

Brigadoon is worth the money. Fished from 9 to 4:30, landed about 23 total, lost about 10 . They were really spitting the fly out that day - by 10 am, caught 3 bows over 22 inches.
Landed a 7.5 lb monster about 25 inches, took a good 20 minutes to land - that's what it's all about. Towards late afternoon, landed 3 browns between 13" and 22", the largest about 4.5 lbs.
Water was high due to the heavy rain that came through early in the morning, a little murky whih was actually ideal. They were hitting a pink san juan worm on a size 16 and 18 right and left.
My take on the situation is that I fish to catch fish and there is nothing quite like seeing that indicator disappearing (other than watching a dry fly getting popped). It's a pure adrenalin rush and I would do it 36 hrs a day if able - but alas, must pay for the pleasure somehow and therefore we work. But late February should be good for fishing and I shall try it again. Not soon enough.
